The Women’s Club of Greater Reston is a women’s social and civic club recognized by the IRS as a 501(c)7 tax-exempt organization. WCGR was started back in 1969 as a newcomers’ club with several name changes over the years and the current one - Women's Club of Greater Reston - was settled on in 2012. We continue to welcome both new and longtime residents of Reston (married, single, divorced, widowed, retired, etc.) and surrounding towns to promote friendship through participation in various recreational and civic activities.

We have a variety of activities to offer our members: Book Clubs, Bridge Groups, Mah Jongg, Canasta, Local Travel, Breakfast Group, Walking Groups, Art Group, Theatre Group, Wine Tasting, etc. We also have annual luncheons and special events throughout the season. We keep our membership fee low as members pay their own expenses to attend outings, luncheons, special events, etc.

Upcoming Events -

On Wednesday, August 19 9:45am-Noon at the RCC at Lake Anne we will have a General Meeting followed by a Program. The Program will be our Activity Leaders. Activity Leaders will be on hand to discuss their activity as well as members will have the opportunity to sign up for as many activities as their schedule permits as well as availability of an activity. If you interested in joining WCGR please drop by. Refreshments are served and there is no admission fee.

Come September we will resume the monthly Get Acquainted Coffee and if you are interested in joining WCGR this is a great environment as you will meet new and long time members and learn more about WCGR. These get togethers are done in a member's home, so it is necessary to RSVP. Interested, send an email, see above.

And come September we will resume our General Meetings followed by a Program of interest to our members on the third Thursday of the month.

Current members receive a monthly newsletter with all the happenings for the month including information on the program following the general meeting.
